Museo del Oro de Bogotá

The Museo del Oro (Gold Museum) in Bogota holds the world’s biggest collection of Pre-Hispanic pieces that are mostly made of gold. Located in the historical centre of the city, the exhibitions at the museum aim to explain the techniques used to shape this metal and the social context for which these pieces were created. As a visitor, you will also get a glimpse of what life was like for these indigenous cultures before they met the first Europeans that arrived to their land.
