Juan Griego is small town on the northeast of Margarita Island from where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. There is a little bay with a few restaurants on the shore, where you can just sit and relax while watching the sky change colours. The three weeks I spent on this island were full of laughter and it was a good chance to share the same space and time with my siblings and mother.
Most times when I visit, I don’t stay long enough to get into the rhythm of things, but on this occasion I felt like I was totally immersed in their routines and their lives. I was not master of my time and space for a while and it was a nice change :) But all good things must come to an end, and the time to say “goodbye, till the next one” finally arrived. Farewells are always a downer because you never know how long it will be until you get together again. And it’s strange with the little ones, because you know they will be much bigger next time you see them. Fortunately, it makes it easier that I’m travelling with my mother to her hometown Barranquilla in Colombia, where I will also meet with my younger sister and my lovely little niece.
