Recently , I was nominated by Aisleen & Richard from Life’s Great Adventures to take part on Tripbase’s 7 Links Project. The goal is to bring back to light 7 posts in different categories that reflect the experiences we’ve had in our journeys. It’s been only about 6 months since the start of my trip, so I think I am still far from producing my best posts; but here they are anyway:
1. Most Beautiful Post
Often overlooked in this bustling South American capital, the Bogota Botanical Garden offers a break from the urban chaos. Sure, if you have been to other botanical gardens you might find this one rather unimpressive. But if you enjoy photography, you will find many opportunities to snap away. I am very happy with the beautiful photos I got from this place.
2. Most Popular Post
Another post from my times in Bogota! This short post from my visit to the Museo del Oro is the most visited on my blog.
3. Most Controversial Post
So far there hasn’t been any controversy on my blog, that I know of. So just for the sake of argument, I nominate my views on Tarantino’s Death Proof (2007) for this honorable position.
4. Most Helpful Post
A chronicle of my LASIK surgery in Barranquilla, Colombia. There are lots of details about the pre and post care, and I’m glad to report that four and a half months later I am totally satisfied with the results. It is so convenient to travel without the hassle of contact lenses and eyeglasses. The only side effect I have to deal with is some dryness.
5. A Post Whose Success Surprised Me
My post about Arepitas Dulces receives a good number of visits, but it’s only a small praise to Ena’s delicious treats.
6. A Post I Feel Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved
Suesca – The Place That Convinced Me To Stay
On this memorable post, I describe my first experiences with climbing in Suesca, Colombia. So far, it hasn’t get so many visits but these were happy, thrilling days for me.
7. The Post I’m Most Proud Of
El Peñol – Climbing A Monolith
El Peñol in Colombia is one of the most impressive sights that we witnessed during our trip there. I love this post because I finally managed to get some impressive full landscape photos, something I had been struggling with in the past.
So there you have them. For the final part of the exercise, I nominate these fellow bloggers to post their own 7 links:
- The Siracusas
- Going Bush
- Little Colombia Observationist
- Cameo
- Wayfaring Wanderer
Wow, your El Peñol pic is brilliant!
