Good Times at the Stay Inn Lisbon Hostel

While searching for a place to stay for my visit to Lisbon, I came across the Stay Inn Lisbon hostel; which was opened recently, and it’s located near Barrio Alto.  Online, the hostel looked amazing and had many positive reviews; so I decided to get in touch with them for my upcoming trip to the Portuguese capital.

After spending seven weeks in beautiful Sintra, I arrived to the Rossio train station on a Sunday evening; I walked for about fifteen minutes to get to the hostel. I was tired and a bit sad about leaving my little base in Sintra. As I rang the bell, a smiling face greeted me from the window above and invited me inside. Before I had a chance to pick up my bag, the handsome guy working at the reception was already bringing it up the stairs, ignoring my pleas to carry it myself.

Inside, the hostel was even more beautiful than the photos I had seen online. It really didn’t look like a hostel at all, it had the sophistication of a boutique hotel and the uniqueness of a friend’s trendy apartment; which, combined with the lovely staff, made me feel right at home. The check in was smooth and soon enough I was in my dorm room; a six-bed room, spotlessly clean with plenty of space.

A night in this dorm room is priced at 19€ per person, making it a very reasonably priced option for accommodation in Lisbon; the price includes breakfast as well. The restrooms were also very modern, with nice design features like the big head showers. Towels are available to rent for 2€.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here; it was a good space for relaxing after my long walks in Lisbon and the site was perfect to get to the points I wanted to visit. Whenever I go back to Lisbon, I would like to stay here again :) For more information, you should go to their Facebook page.
