Contrary to what some people may think, sometimes there are real advantages to spending some time browsing what comes up on my Facebook feed. The other day, I found among the amusing ramblings and photos of friends and family a link to Viventura‘s Blog your Way to Paradise Competition. The company is a specialist tour operator focused on South American destinations. Their tours combine the most popular sites with “off the tourist track” adventures, to provide their clients with unique cultural experiences. This year, Viventura’s employees achieved their sales goals. As a bonus, they are moving their office from Berlin to Costa Rica during the month of November. Plus, they are looking for one lucky blogger to join them in this adventure and I want to be the chosen one!
Top 10 Reasons Why I Should Go Blog From Paradise with Viventura
10. Last time I was in Costa Rica was in 2001
It’s been over 10 years since the first time I visited and fell in love with Costa Rica’s green and luscious exuberance. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to go back; but I’ve been looking forward to a chance to do it and I feel it’s long overdue.

9. I want to see Arenal Volcano from up close
One of the things I missed during my trip to Costa Rica was climbing Arenal Volcano because the weather conditions where not good. Besides, item 26 on my bucket list is to climb an active volcano; so maybe this time it could work out perfectly!

8. I miss Latin American food
Most of my life, I lived in Venezuela and I’m half Colombian; so Latin American food is a big part of my heritage! Don’t get me wrong, food in Europe is amazing; but some things are just not the same :)

7. I’d love to blog about this adventure and share it in social media
It’d be great to tag along and feature my experiences here and through my social media profiles. I’m sure it would be a great learning experience and it would give me lots to talk about!
6. I’m passionate about making beautiful photos
Whenever I go out, my camera is in my bag; I’m always looking for beautiful scenes to capture. If this is something that could provide value to this adventure, then I invite you to check out my gallery, as well as my Instagram and Flickr profiles.
5. I love adventure and I’m up for trying new things anytime
One of the focus of my journey is adventure travel, I love to do exciting things: rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, horse back riding, you name it! And, yes! that’s me in the photo below ;)
4. I want to wake up to the sounds of monkeys
One of my fondest memories from Costa Rica was waking up every morning to the sound of the monkeys. I’d enjoy every minute of being in the jungle surrounded by the tropical vegetation and exotic animals.

3. Hablo español, et Français (anche un po’ d’italiano, und etwas Deutsch)
I love languages! At the moment, I blog only in English but the Spanish version of my site will go live in a couple of weeks. While going to University in Montreal, I learned French and took some Italian at school. Before starting my nomadic journey, I was supposed to move to Berlin so I took German lessons for 2 years. All that to say that I thrive in a multicultural environment!

2. I work best in an office with a view and with a good cup of coffee!
Beautiful surroundings inspire me and make me more creative, and if I pair that with a good cup of java; then I have a winning combo! Costa Rica has then both, so there you go :)
1. Today is my birthday!
